Happy Friday the 13th! If you’ve seen an alien, felt the presence of a ghost or witnessed the Lockness monster, let us know on Twitter. We like the creepy crawlies. In the meantime, check out the top five tracks and/or artists and happenings on our radar this past week. Happy listening!
Beats Antique
In honor of Friday the 13th, we just had to put this up here for the effort. Beats Antique released a short and dirty remix honoring the one superstitious day that we can celebrate. It’s a fun and quirky remix that you can throw onto your iPod for the day.
¡OYE!
Check out the premier of OYE’s “When I’m Small (Remix)” music video. It’s a hauntingly and beautifully shot music video directed by Alex Browning and captures the best of OYE’s lyrics that paints a picture of OYE’s history and struggles.
Conveyor
You’ve never heard of them before, but I accidentally stumbled on the U.K. band, Conveyor when Googling another band and I couldn’t stop listening to the gentle instrumentals and classical undertones that collectively formulates a soothing ambiance. Their music is a far cry from today’s fast paced trends in music, and their classically trained pianist turned keyboardist has something to do with it.
Alex Winston
We’ve got Alex Winston’s new music video for “Sister Wife” directed by Noel Paul and Stefan Moore. Adding to that, you can check out Stereogum for a free download of “Sister Wife.”

KahBang Festival
The KahBang Festival tickets are on sale. The lineup? It only has Morning Jacket, Grace Potter & The Nocturnals, Lady Lamb and the Beekeeper, Atomic Tom, Dom and over 35 other bands in Maine during August 5-13 (notice the sarcasm hiding the excitement in my voice). After watching the Atomic Tom viral Youtube video, I’m psyched to see them.
